Gold Coast Hospital Foundation Lady Elliot Island Raffle – Terms and Conditions
- General Information
- Participation in this promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- The Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s Lady Elliot Island Charity Raffle (Raffle) is conducted by the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation (Foundation) ABN 95 387 912 125, for the purpose of raising funds to support the Foundation’s charitable activities.
- Entry
- A person is eligible to buy a ticket in the Raffle if they are an Australian resident who is 18 years of age or older, but excludes any of the following:
- any members of the Foundation’s board;
- any immediate family members of the Foundation’s board;
- employees of the Foundation; and
- any person directly engaged with drawing of the Raffle.
- Tickets for entry into the Raffle will be available for purchase online at give.gchfoundation.org.au/raffle/lady-elliot-island-raffle during the period commencing on 12:01am AEST, Wednesday 2 April 2025 and closing at 11:59pm AEST, Monday 12 May 2025 (Closing Date), unless tickets sold out sooner.
- All tickets purchased prior to the Closing Date are automatically entered into the Raffle. A ticket will not be given to a participant until the participant has paid the correct price. If a participant has not paid the correct price for a ticket prior to the Closing Date, the participant will not be entered into the Raffle.
- Ticket prices are $10 for three tickets, $20 for seven tickets and $50 for 20 tickets. The price of tickets are fixed.
- The Foundation reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse to sell, supply or limit the number of tickets or entries that a participant may wish to obtain. The Foundation is not obliged to provide any reason to a participant or prospective participant the Foundation elects to exercise its discretion pursuant to this clause.
- Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Raffle Draw
- The Raffle will be drawn on Thursday, 15 May 2025 at 11:30am AEST at the Gold Coast University Hospital Forecourt, located at 1 Hospital Blvd Southport QLD 4215.
- The winning ticket will be selected at random from all valid entries into the Raffle. Each ticket has an equal opportunity of being selected.
- The draw will be conducted in the presence of an independent witness.
The winners will be validated and notified via the contact details provided at the time of purchasing a ticket in the Raffle. The Foundation will endeavour to notify winners within 7 days of the Raffle being drawn, and in any event within 28 days of the raffle being drawn.
- The name of the winner will be published on the Foundation’s Facebook and Instagram platforms.
- Prizes
- There is one major prize to be won, with a total prize value of up to $2,180 (AUD).
Major Prize: Voucher for a day trip to Lady Elliot Island for two adults.
Includes:
- Return ‘scenic’ flight for two adults:
– Departs Gold Coast 6:45am or Redcliffe 7:15am
– Returns from Lady Elliot Island at 2:30pm.
– Flights may include transit stops
- 5 hours to explore Lady Elliot Island
- Welcome drink on arrival
- Orientation/Island tour
- Combined glass bottom boat/guided snorkel tour
- Hot & cold full buffet lunch including fresh prawns, wine, beer and soft drink
- Use of snorkel equipment (mask, snorkel, fins & short wetsuit)
- Fish feeding in the Lagoon Fish Pool
- Snorkel lesson (if required)
- Use of Day Guest facilities (storage facilities, shower facilities, towels, sunscreen, reef walking shoes)
- Fully guided tour
- Hotel transfers (limited areas apply)
- Environmental Management Charge (EMC)
- Gold Coast Hospital Foundation accepts no responsibility for the use of any gift cards or vouchers won. Each prize winner accepts all responsibility for the use of the gift card or voucher won and agrees to abide by the separate Terms and Conditions of use from the provider of the gift card or voucher.
- The participant and the Foundation agree, that the Foundation may substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable.
- Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
- Where the Foundation, having made every reasonable effort, is unable to locate the prize winner and/or deliver a prize to the winner, the Foundation may after 1 year from the date the prizes of the Raffle are drawn, deal with the prize in accordance with the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Rule 2010.
- Liability
- The Foundation is not responsible for any loss or damage suffered by any entrant or winner as a result of participating in the Raffle or as a result of accepting a prize.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Foundation will not be liable for any technical, hardware, or software failures, or other errors or problems that may occur in relation to the Raffle, whether computer, network, or telecommunication related.
- Privacy
- By participating in the Raffle, entrants’ consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by the Foundation for the purposes of conducting the Raffle, promotional purposes, and to perform its functions and activities in accordance with our charitable objectives. Unless you choose to opt out, we may contact you with promotional material or offers.
- All entries will be the property of Gold Coast Hospital Foundation. Gold Coast Hospital Foundation is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988. Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s privacy policy is available at https://gchfoundation.org.au/privacy/
- The Foundation respects the privacy of all participants and will not share personal information with third parties except as required by law.
- Disqualification
The Foundation reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who has breached these Terms and Conditions or engaged in unlawful or improper conduct in relation to the Raffle.
- Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
- Each party irrevocably and unconditionally:
submits to non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland (and the courts competent to determine appeals from those courts) with respect to any disputes or proceedings under, in relation to, or in connection with these terms and conditions and the Raffle.
