Gold Coast Hospital Foundation Betty Health Heroes Workplace Giving Competition – Terms and Conditions
1. General Information
- (a) The competition is a game of chance.
- (b) The Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s Workplace Giving Car Park Competition (Competition) is conducted by the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation (Foundation) ABN 95 387 912 125.
2. Eligibility
- (a) To be eligible a person must be a current employee of Gold Coast Health and;
- (b) be signed up to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation Betty Health Heroes Program (Workplace Giving) during each draw period.
- (c) The following are unable to enter the competition:
- (i) any members of the Foundation’s board;
- (ii) any immediate family members of the Foundation’s board;
- (iii) employees of the Foundation;
- (iv) any person directly engaged with drawing of the Competition;
- (v) any Workplace Giving participant who cancels their regular giving during each draw period.
3. Entry
- (a) By entering the competition, entrants accept the competition terms.
- (b) How to enter:
- (i) Existing Workplace Giving participants will automatically receive one (1) entry into each draw
- (ii) Participants who sign up to Workplace Giving during the draw period will automatically receive one (1) entry into the draw.
- (iii) Existing Workplace Giving participants will receive one (1) additional automatic bonus entry when they upgrade their regular fortnightly donation during each draw period.
- (iv) Workplace Giving participants who are donating $10 or above during the promotional period will receive one (1) bonus entry into the draw.
- (c) The Foundation reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse to supply or limit the number of entries that a participant can obtain. The Foundation is not obliged to provide any reason to a participant or prospective participant the Foundation elects to exercise its discretion pursuant to this clause.
- (d) Entries into the draw are non-transferable.
4. Competition Period
- (a) The Competition will open 12:01am March 1, 2026 and close 11:59pm February 28, 2027 and will be made up of 4 individual prize draws.
- (b) The winning ticket will be selected at random from all valid entries into the competition. Each ticket has an equal opportunity of being selected during each draw period.
- (c) The draw will be conducted by a member of the Foundation in the presence of an independent witness.
- (d) The winners will be validated and notified via the contact details provided at the time of signing up to the Workplace Giving Program. The Foundation will endeavour to notify winners within 7 days of the competition being drawn, and in any event within 28 days of the raffle being drawn.
- (e) The name of the winner will be published on the Foundation’s Workplace Giving Webpage.
5. Prizes
- (a) There are four prizes to be won, with a total prize value up to $3,000 (AUD). Winners can choose the location of their prize based on where the employee works. A combination of both locations is not available.

- (b) Gold Coast Hospital Foundation accepts no responsibility for the use of any gift cards or passes won. Each prize winner accepts all responsibility for the use of the gift card or passes won and agrees to abide by the separate Terms and Conditions of use from the provider of the gift card or passes.
- (c) The car park pass will expire 12-weeks from each prize draw date.
- (d) Once the car park pass has expired the winner must return their pass to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation within one-week.
- (e) If at any time the prize winner is no longer an employee of Gold Coast Health, they must hand back their pass to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation within 1-week of their employment ending.
- (f) The participant and the Foundation agree that the Foundation may substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable.
- (g) Except where expressly stated, prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
- (h) Where the Foundation, having made every reasonable effort, is unable to locate the prize winner and/or deliver a prize to the winner, the Foundation may after 1 year from the date the prizes of the Competition are drawn, deal with the prize in accordance with the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Rule 2010.
6. Liability
- (a) The Foundation is not responsible for any loss or damage suffered by any entrant or winner as a result of participating in the Competition or as a result of accepting a prize.
- (b) To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Foundation will not be liable for any technical, hardware, or software failures, or other errors or problems that may occur in relation to the competition, whether computer, network, or telecommunication related.
7. Privacy
- (a) By participating in the Competition, entrants’ consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by the Foundation for the purposes of conducting the Competition, promotional purposes, and to perform its functions and activities in accordance with our charitable objectives. Unless you choose to opt out, we may contact you with promotional material or offers.
- (b) All entries will be the property of Gold Coast Hospital Foundation. Gold Coast Hospital Foundation is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988. Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s privacy policy is available at https://gchfoundation.org.au/privacy/
- (c) The Foundation respects the privacy of all participants and will not share personal information with third parties except as required by law.
8. Disqualification
The Foundation reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who has breached these Terms and Conditions or engaged in unlawful or improper conduct in relation to the Competition.
9. Disputes
Any disputes relating to the conduct of this Competition should be submitted in writing to the Foundation within 14 days of the issue arising. The Foundation will review and respond within 28 days. If the matter is not resolved, it may be referred to an independent person not involved in the Competition for a final decision, subject to any rights under Queensland law.
10. Governing Law
- (a) These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
- (b) Each party irrevocably and unconditionally submits to non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland (and the courts competent to determine appeals from those courts) with respect to any disputes or proceedings under, in relation to, or in connection with these terms and conditions and the Competition.
