Gold Coast Hospital Foundation 2026 Christmas Charity Raffle – Terms and Conditions

1. General Information

• (a) Participation in this promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
• (b) The Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s 2026 Christmas Charity Raffle (Raffle) is conducted by the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation (Foundation) ABN 95 387 912 125, for the purpose of raising funds to support the Foundation’s charitable activities.

2. Entry

• (a) A person is eligible to buy a ticket in the Raffle if they are an Australian resident, living in Queensland or New South Wales (during the period of the Raffle set out in clause 2(b) below), who is 18 years of age or older and excludes any of the following:

(i) any members of the Foundation’s board;

(ii) any immediate family members of the Foundation’s board;

(iii) employees of the Foundation;

(iv) any person selling a Raffle ticket; and

(v) any person directly engaged with drawing of the Raffle.

• (b) Tickets for entry into the Raffle will be available for purchase online at give.gchfoundation.org.au/raffle/christmas-charity-raffle during the period commencing on 09:00am AEST, Monday 19 October 2026 and closing at 11:59pm AEST, Monday 21 December 2026 (Closing Date), or when ticket revenue reaches the maximum of $36,500 whichever is sooner.
• (c) All tickets purchased by eligible persons in accordance with these terms and conditions, prior to the Closing Date are automatically entered into the Raffle. A ticket will not be given to a participant until the participant has paid the correct price. If a participant has not paid the correct price for a ticket prior to the Closing Date, the participant will not be entered into the Raffle.
• (d) Ticket prices: $5 Single, $10 for three tickets, $20 for seven tickets, $50 for 20 tickets and $100 for 45 tickets. The price of tickets are fixed.
• (e) The Foundation reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse to sell, supply or limit the number of tickets or entries that a participant may wish to obtain. The Foundation is not obliged to provide any reason to a participant or prospective participant the Foundation elects to exercise its discretion pursuant to this clause.
• (f) Tickets purchased by eligible persons are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any ticket purchased by ineligible person will be refundable in the amount of the purchase price of the ticket. The obligation is on the ineligible person to notify the Foundation and provide satisfactory evidence that they are/were not an eligible person during the period of the Raffle set out in clause 2(b) above.
• (g) For clarity, any illegible persons ticket will not be drawn in the Raffle and if it is in error the ticket will be invalid and a new ticket will be re-drawn.

 

3. Raffle Draw

• (a) The Raffle will be drawn on Tuesday, 22 December 2026 at 11:00am AEST at the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation Main Office, located at 1 Hospital Blvd Southport QLD 4215.
• (b) The winning tickets will be selected at random from all valid entries into the Raffle. Each ticket has an equal opportunity of being selected. The prizes will be drawn in descending order of value.
• (c) The draw will be conducted by a member of the Foundation in the presence of an independent witness.
• (d) The winners will be validated and notified via the contact details provided at the time of purchasing a ticket in the Raffle. The Foundation will endeavour to notify winners within 7 days of the Raffle being drawn, and in any event within 28 days of the raffle being drawn.
• (e) Each ticket can only be drawn once; however, an entrant may win multiple times if they purchase multiple tickets.
• (f) The name of the winner will be published on the Foundation’s Facebook and Instagram platforms.

4. Prizes

• (a) There are three prizes to be won, with a total prize value of $7,300 (AUD).

First Prize: $3,500 (AUD) Cash.

Second Prize: Lady Elliot Island Stay for Two – valued at $3,300 (AUD) Includes: one-night accommodation, return flights from Coolangatta, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, combined glass bottom boat/snorkel tour, guided reef walk (tide dependent), island orientation tour, fish feeding in the lagoon, snorkelling equipment, and use of resort facilities.

Third Prize: $500 (AUD) Fuel Gift Card thanks to Elev8.

• (b) Gold Coast Hospital Foundation accepts no responsibility for the use of any gift cards or vouchers won. Each prize winner accepts all responsibility for the use of the gift card or voucher won and agrees to abide by the separate Terms and Conditions of use from the provider of the gift card or voucher.
• (c) The participant and the Foundation agree that the Foundation may substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable.
• (d) Except where expressly stated, prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
• (e) Where the Foundation, having made every reasonable effort, is unable to locate the prize winner and/or deliver a prize to the winner, the Foundation may after 1 year from the date the prizes of the Raffle are drawn, deal with the prize in accordance with the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Rule 2010.

5. Liability

• (a) The Foundation is not responsible for any loss or damage suffered by any entrant or winner as a result of participating in the Raffle or as a result of accepting a prize.
• (b) To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Foundation will not be liable for any technical, hardware, or software failures, or other errors or problems that may occur in relation to the Raffle, whether computer, network, or telecommunication related.

6. Privacy

• (a) By participating in the Raffle, entrants’ consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information by the Foundation for the purposes of conducting the Raffle, promotional purposes, and to perform its functions and activities in accordance with our charitable objectives. Unless you choose to opt out, we may contact you with promotional material or offers.
• (b) All entries will be the property of Gold Coast Hospital Foundation. Gold Coast Hospital Foundation is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988. Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s privacy policy is available at https://gchfoundation.org.au/privacy/
• (c) The Foundation respects the privacy of all participants and will not share personal information with third parties except as required by law.

 7. Disqualification

• The Foundation reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who has breached these Terms and Conditions or engaged in unlawful or improper conduct in relation to the Raffle.

 8.  Disputes

•  Any disputes relating to the conduct of this raffle should be submitted in writing to the Foundation within 14 days of the issue arising. The Foundation will review and respond within 28 days. If the matter is not resolved, it may be referred to an independent person not involved in the raffle for a final decision, subject to any rights under Queensland and New Sale Wales law.

 9. Governing Law

• (a) These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
• (b)Each party irrevocably and unconditionally submits to non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland (and the courts competent to determine appeals from those courts) with respect to any disputes or proceedings under, in relation to, or in connection with these terms and conditions and the Raffle.

Gold Coast Hospital Foundation Betty Health Heroes Workplace Giving Competition – Terms and Conditions

1. General Information

• (a) The competition is a game of chance.
• (b) The Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s Workplace Giving Car Park Competition (Competition) is conducted by the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation (Foundation) ABN 95 387 912 125.

2. Eligibility

• (a) To be eligible a person must be a current employee of Gold Coast Health and;
• (b) be signed up to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation Betty Health Heroes Program (Workplace Giving) during each draw period.
• (c) The following are unable to enter the competition:
  • (i) any members of the Foundation’s board;
  • (ii) any immediate family members of the Foundation’s board;
  • (iii) employees of the Foundation;
  • (iv) any person directly engaged with drawing of the Competition;
  • (v) any Workplace Giving participant who cancels their regular giving during each draw period.

3. Entry

• (a) By entering the competition, entrants accept the competition terms.
• (b) How to enter:
  • (i) Existing Workplace Giving participants will automatically receive one (1) entry into each draw
  • (ii) Participants who sign up to Workplace Giving during the draw period will automatically receive one (1) entry into the draw.
  • (iii) Existing Workplace Giving participants will receive one (1) additional automatic bonus entry when they upgrade their regular fortnightly donation during each draw period.
  • (iv) Workplace Giving participants who are donating $10 or above during the promotional period will receive one (1) bonus entry into the draw.

• (c) The Foundation reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse to supply or limit the number of entries that a participant can obtain. The Foundation is not obliged to provide any reason to a participant or prospective participant the Foundation elects to exercise its discretion pursuant to this clause.
• (d) Entries into the draw are non-transferable.

 

4. Competition Period

• (a) The Competition will open 12:01am March 1, 2026 and close 11:59pm February 28, 2027 and will be made up of 4 individual prize draws.
• (b) The winning ticket will be selected at random from all valid entries into the competition. Each ticket has an equal opportunity of being selected during each draw period.
• (c) The draw will be conducted by a member of the Foundation in the presence of an independent witness.
• (d) The winners will be validated and notified via the contact details provided at the time of signing up to the Workplace Giving Program. The Foundation will endeavour to notify winners within 7 days of the competition being drawn, and in any event within 28 days of the raffle being drawn.
• (e) The name of the winner will be published on the Foundation’s Workplace Giving Webpage.

 

5. Prizes

• (a) There are four prizes to be won, with a total prize value up to $3,000 (AUD). Winners can choose the location of their prize based on where the employee works. A combination of both locations is not available.

• (b) Gold Coast Hospital Foundation accepts no responsibility for the use of any gift cards or passes won. Each prize winner accepts all responsibility for the use of the gift card or passes won and agrees to abide by the separate Terms and Conditions of use from the provider of the gift card or passes.
• (c) The car park pass will expire 12-weeks from each prize draw date.
• (d) Once the car park pass has expired the winner must return their pass to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation within one-week.
• (e) If at any time the prize winner is no longer an employee of Gold Coast Health, they must hand back their pass to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation within 1-week of their employment ending.
• (f) The participant and the Foundation agree that the Foundation may substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable.
• (g) Except where expressly stated, prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
• (h) Where the Foundation, having made every reasonable effort, is unable to locate the prize winner and/or deliver a prize to the winner, the Foundation may after 1 year from the date the prizes of the Competition are drawn, deal with the prize in accordance with the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Rule 2010.
