When turning 30, most people are busy planning a wild party to celebrate the milestone along with all of the gifts they personally will receive. Not James.
This generous young man wanted his 30th birthday to make a difference to the lives of elderly patients in care, so James donated personally to Gold Coast Hospital Foundation and chose to fund 4-wheel walkers. These 4-wheel walkers were delivered to the Robina Acute Care of the Elderly Unit last week.
When asked what prompted James to donate, he said, “This donation comes as a thank you on my 30th birthday as I believe it’s important to always give back to those in need, especially after being gifted another year on earth.
“Supporting the wheelie walkers meant a lot to me as my grandmother has dementia and uses these types of walkers every day, so to be able to support other patients in care to be able to have access to these facilities is an honour.
“Thank you to the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation for all the amazing work that you do for the health of our community.”
