Health Staff Scholarship Program presented by SurePark – 2026 submissions open July
Gold Coast Hospital Foundation has proudly partnered with SurePark to fund an exclusive scholarships program to invest in educational opportunities that further develop the skills and experience of Gold Coast Health staff.
The scholarships program will deliver vital funding across six key departments within Gold Coast Health including:
- Medical
- Nursing/Midwifery
- Allied Health
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
- Professional/Administration
- Operational Support Services/Trades
Scholarship details
The Health Staff Sholarship Program presented by SurePark was established in 2022 in partnership with Gold Coast Hospital Foundation to support local health staff by providing educational opportunities and funding that support the greatest minds in healthcare on the Gold Coast.
Permanent employees of Gold Coast Health will be given the opportunity to apply for scholarships up to the value of $1,500 each. Payments are subject to satisfying scholarship criteria.
The recipients will be able to use the funds towards further study that covers courses including Certificates, Diplomas, Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, Bachelor, Postgraduate, Masters, PhDs, or specific modules/subjects within these courses. Study must be relevant to the applicant’s current area of work and support career progression in Gold Coast Health.
Study dates for the 2026 round of scholarships must be commenced or concluded between 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2027.
Applications for the 2026 round will open July 2026.

Recipients announced at award ceremony: 29th September 2026
Scholarship selection process
Gold Coast Health staff will apply for the scholarships through Gold Coast Hospital Foundation’s Smarty Grants website. The link will accept applications from 1 July 2026.
A committee of professional leads from Gold Coast Health will be engaged to shortlist submitted applications via the Smarty Grants website.
A final decision on recipients will be determined jointly by SurePark and Gold Coast Hospital Foundation.
